Your Role
As a Residential Childcare Trainer, you’ll:
- Guide learners through their apprenticeship journey, sharing your expertise and passion for the residential childcare sector.
- Conduct detailed assessments, tailoring your support to meet individual needs.
- Build essential skills, including English and Mathematics, to prepare learners for success.
- Manage a caseload of up to 40 learners, ensuring they excel at their End-Point Assessment (EPA).
- Plan and deliver engaging teaching, learning, and assessment activities.
- Regularly review progress and adapt coaching strategies to drive results.
- Offer valuable advice and guidance to promote holistic learner development.
- Maintain accurate and efficient E-Portfolio records.
What You’ll Need
- Essential:
- Managerial experience within a residential childcare setting.
- Residential Childcare qualification at Level 5.
- UK driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
- Preferred:
- Teaching qualifications like PTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, or equivalent (trainees with strong experience will also be considered).
- Assessor’s qualifications such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent.
