Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
• Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
• Supporting healthcare professionals with treatments and procedures
• Ensuring a clean and safe patient environment
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Certificate in Healthcare Support (or similar qualification)
• Knowledge of basic healthcare procedures and protocols
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient dignity
• Physical and emotional resilience to handle the demands of the role

Day-to-day

As an HCA, your day-to-day tasks may include assisting patients with personal care, taking vital signs, providing comfort and support, and assisting healthcare professionals with treatments and procedures. You will also play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, while communicating effectively with the healthcare team and providing emotional support to those in your care.
