Position Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and passionate Design Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2024. As a Design Technology Teacher at our school, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for involvement at Key Stage 5. This full-time role offers the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of design education within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons that foster creativity and practical skills development, catering to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential involvement at Key Stage 5.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where students can explore and experiment with various design concepts and technologies.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation through hands-on projects and collaborative activities.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development as designers and innovators.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Design Technology curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular initiatives.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential.
• Enhanced DBS clearance on the Update Service.
• Up to date safeguarding training.
• Strong background in Design Technology education with a passion for fostering creativity and innovation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
