A great opportunity for a technical expert with a background in advisory services to join our expanding asset, estates and portfolio performance team within Mace consult. The role is within the construction and built environment sector, providing strategic advice to clients across their owned or leased property, infrastructure assets and portfolios of work. We know that if clients take a reactive approach, this can result in expensive estates and inefficient capital programmes, with siloed management approaches, lack of evidence-based decision making and inefficient use of money, carbon and other resources. So, we turn this on its head and offer a diagnostic toolkit and pathways to drive higher performance, delivering more for less.
Part of our advisory services centre of excellence, the asset, sstates and portfolio performance team has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of work with both property and infrastructure clients.
We are seeking candidates with a broad and flexible technical skillset to complement our current team by offering expertise in advising clients on how to drive high performance across their owned or leased property, infrastructure assets and portfolios of work. You will be focussed on service excellence, continuous improvement and product development.
To support our growth, we are currently seeking to recruit senior advisory managers with proven expertise in consultancy work, who can support continued development of our service offer. We are interested in experienced candidates with a proven track record in the following areas:
Asset (property and infrastructure) strategy and optimisation
Capital programme maturity assessments and performance
Supporting sponsors and growing sponsor capability

Manages the delivery of technical commission delivery in complex, dynamic and uncertain environments during the pre-conception, feasibility and early stages of projects and programmes. Provides comprehensive in depth technical capability from specific professional discipline and/or specialist capabilities to deploy in an advisory capacity across more than one client and/or sector. Accountable for the technical aspects of projects and programmes or will bring specialist expertise to larger projects and programmes.
You’ll be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive support with the commission team to achieve outputs, providing technical advice on commissions working across one portfolio/organisations.
Sharing technical/functional/domain expertise to upskill capabilities.
Recommending key technical elements of proposal development and commission delivery, integrating technical expertise with other capabilities to achieve key deliverables and milestones.
Developing and maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships and extensive networks across the commission team and internal and external stakeholders.
Identifying and implementing continuous improvements and technical options/solutions to client issues and business improvements.
Managing client relationship management activities related to a specific technical area
Delivering into the business development strategy and work winning by sharing experience in technical skills to identify new opportunities and providing innovative solutions.
Advanced technical/functional knowledge, expertise and experience in (area/discipline/specialism)
Providing mentoring/training to members of the team.
Specialism, using advanced technical capabilities/discipline expertise to support technical solutions and client issues.
Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
We are flexible about your professional background but expect a strong specialism and post qualification experience in at least one of the above areas.
A professional qualification or chartership in relation to these areas and/or post graduate level study.
A network of contacts across the property and infrastructure sectors.
Previous experience in a delivery role across property or infrastructure projects and programmes or an understanding of how projects and programmes are delivered is desirable
